Lionfish Tech Advisors welcomes Mark Harris
WILMINGTON, DE. May 02, 2022. -- Lionfish Tech Advisors, a global analyst advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Mark Harris, former Gartner analyst, to the advisory team.
Harris has 20 years in Software engineering roles at McAfee and Sophos, including 8 years running the threat research labs at Sophos.
He holds over a dozen patents on cyber security as well as having patent trial experience.
Harris is an experienced speaker who has presented at many conferences,including RSA, InfoSec, Hacker Halted as well as TV and Radio interviews.
He has also advised a variety of different industry bodies including IEEE,APWG, AMTSO as well as providing evidence for a UK House of Lords select committee on cyber security.
During three years at Gartner, he authored a variety of research including the MarketGuide for Email Security, EPP Critical capabilities, EPP Magic Quadrant, Coolvendor, Hype cycle and numerous notes on the changing threat landscape and presented at Symposium.
Speaking to his motivations, Harris says, "I regard myself as an engineer, always wanting to know how something works, I'mexcited to be joining Lionfish to work with companies large and small to help provide solutions to modern cyber security problems."
